Composition is the formation of various elements. A good composition makes a good harmony. Making a good compostition, is perhaps like making a bread dough, where materials and spices blends very well and tasty. In arranging room for example, we need to consider some composition character.

Symmetry
The symmetry order is balanced composition, usually right and left. Symmetrical order may cause calm and dignified feelings, that is why it is used many times in government's offices, which can lead to formal atmosphere, such as in classical houses style.

A design with symmetrical order often create a neat and formal ambience. In spaces like lounges, dining room and family rooms, symmetrical order can also lead to formal impression which will be suitable for expecting good manner. Symmetrical order in room arrangement is likely used, for example, at formal dinner.

In the house facade, symmetrical order usually used for house with classic or mediterranean style. This is because the elements of style that is originated from classical style is always in symmetry. Modern style use more freely order.

Symmetrical order for house design gives impression of formality and balance, and it is associated with formality and luxury, therefore it is appropriate to be used in luxurious houses.





Asymmetric order
Asymmetric order of composition is used to make a more dynamic and free design, and is the opponent from symmetrical order. Modern architecture use this asymmetric order in plan and facade. Usually, asymmetric composition contains elements that is united in fine composition. For example: asymmetric composition and arrangement of furniture that requires sensitive spatial composition. Placing asymmetric wall decoration requires sensitivity and flavors of art, making the composition interesting to see.




Home facade with asymmetric composition also have a dynamic effect, because elements such as line, mass, and planes can be freely combined. This is why modern buildings usually use this asymmetric composition, because it reflects the spirit of independence. This also supported by a range of new materials, so many possibilities of materials can be used to create new forms.
