Pendant fixtures
These are the most commonly used ceiling lights. The type of light varies according to the shade used. The larger the shade, the more subtle the light cast. To direct the maximum light downwards (as over tables), use opaque, conical shades. Both types of shade can be mounted on rise and fall fixtures.
Wall lamp
Wall lamp is also very common and mostly used for decoration purposes, or to direct a walking path (as in hotel halls). Sometimes this lights are used to enhance an object by directly light it with spotlight mounted on wall.
Floor lamps
This kind of lamps are used to give general or directional lighting. We can use it to light the whole room or just to point it to an object. It is also common to use it for reading lamp beside a sofa or reading chair.
Table lamps
Usually, table lamps are to give better lights for reading or activities on desk, and mostly with concentrated light areas. It should be adjustable to give us the most comfortable reading light, or to be altered.
There are so many choices when it is about light fixtures in many stores. It is important to choose the right lamps for the right reason, for example; whe should use desk lamp if needed, for the health of our eyes. Visiting a showroom is a good idea when we want to decide what kind of light fixtures we want to use. Other way is visiting various places with great lightings to see whether we can have some ideas.
