Pattern, texture and ornament in interior design

Incendiary huePattern is one of the interior design elements that affect the atmosphere in the interior design. Pattern is generally applied to two-dimensional forms such as fabric, we can feel the texture when touched. This pattern is often formed into elements of interest. Texture can be interior enhancement, ornaments, and while Pattern usually contains some texture. Each object has texture that affect our mind, and texture is often used to enhance an object and we call this ornament.


Pattern can be derived from a variety of kinds of materials, we can find it in printed pattern on the cloth or wallpaper, sofa cushion, or chairs, and ceramic floor and others.Patterns can be derived from how we arrange ceramic floor. We can also see the thread on the beautiful natural wood nan. Pattern is taken from the character of an object, from the way objects are manufactured, or part of the form.

Ornament of material may enrich an object; it can be natural or robust. This effect can be felt for example when we touch a silk fabric that looks and feels slippery and cold. This can be in the interior design application that has the impression that we would want

Pattern can also affect the atmosphere of space. Can be applied in the objects in the room such as cloth curtains or wallpaper, sofa cushion. Pattern can be obtained from texturized material, such as traditional woven cloth pattern from Indonesia. Pattern can be an ornament in the room. Patterns can affect our mood, the same as when we see colors in the room.



We can see the wood carving, traditional furniture, patterns appears so because the process of production of the texturized objects, for example plaited bamboo. Sometimes Pattern is telling something like plaited bamboo reminds us that the effect of rural and natural ambience.

We can use the soft lines of Pattern or small and the color that is not too strong because for example if we use strong lines it will give the impression of masculinity. While soft lines of pattern will give feminime look. We should  consult our interior design first with an interior designer for best result, even so, usually when we use our own design instict, it may be more creative and more satisfying.
